CFPP

Where distillate fuels are stored and transferred in cold climates, can lead to wax precipitation, which can further lead to operational problems such as, blocked filters and pipework, causing expensive down-time and repairs.

Monitoring the CFPP, in conjunction with the Pour Point and Cloud Point can help avoid waxing, reducing the risk of unexpected maintenance and assist in effective storage of fuel in relation to tank temperatures. In addition, waxing can increase risk to operational staff and potential environmental damage.

Based upon the result of the test, the CFPP allows energy saving via distillate heating only at temperatures required.

We test cold filter plugging point of distillate fuels by the international test methods, ISO309/ASTM D6371.
